Keyword Refresh Tips?!

Hi everyone! I just started a brand new job and have taken over ownership of our 6sense instance. We're embarking on a keyword refresh (and need to get it done in the next two weeks). Does anyone have any tips on how to conduct a keyword audit and refresh? What steps do you take? Who do you involve? If anyone has a template sheet for how they're organizing keyword groups, I would LOVE to see it!
