Hi all,
As AI adoption ramps up—especially in BDR roles—one question keeps coming up: Is AI replacing BDRs? In our latest research on the BDR function, we compared teams that have adopted AI with those that haven’t, asking whether their teams had grown, shrunk, or stayed the same over the past twelve months. What the data tell us is that AI isn’t replacing BDR roles—at least not yet. Thoughts/reactions to this?

    As of now, the adoption of AI or not is not impacting or being driven by whether a team is growing or not. AI is growth-neutral for BDRs. Of course, there are numerous reasons a company would adopt AI tools, so we would not necessarily expect doing so to show up in whether the BDR team is growing.
