Wednesday Wisdom: 2023 State of the BDR Report

Hey all! On Monday, we started the conversation about our research on the BDR role. Today, we're excited to highlight our 2023 State of the BDR Report.

Both this year and last, 6sense Research surveyed BDRs about their jobs and how supported they feel in their roles. In 2022, BDRs' answers to our survey quickly had us coining the year as the “Golden Age of the BDR” based on their very positive responses. BDRs expressed an abundant sense of support from their organizations, and the relationship between this support and their ability to achieve quotas was striking.

However, as we ventured into the early months of 2023, economic conditions began to trend downward and we wondered how BDRs were holding up. Their answers to our survey this year let us know that BDRs managed to uphold their performance against quotas, even amidst hints that their roles had become more strenuous and that the percentage of BDRs feeling well-supported had declined.

It won't be long until our next check-in with BDRs in 2024. In the meantime, we invite you to check out our 2023 report to understand how BDRs continued to deliver results in challenging times.
