6sense Email Provider: Shared IPs?

As of today, October 2025, we use shared IPs for 6sense Email Provider. I've had a few customers ask if this will negatively impact their reputation if another customer abuses this.

Here's the TLDR!

  • White-labeled + authenticated: All mail is fully white-labeled with SPF, DKIM, DMARC — so it’s sent under their domain, protecting brand reputation at the domain level.
  • Deliverability safeguards: SendGrid is a market leader & manages sophisticated IP warming, monitoring, and reputation protection.
  • Dedicated IP myth: Dedicated IPs only make sense at ~10k+ emails/day per IP. Below that volume, they actually hurt deliverability because there isn’t enough consistent sending to build/maintain reputation.

So for most customers, shared IPs are actually safer and more effective for inbox placement.

Is there somewhere we can find the DNS records we'd need to add to our system?

  • @Chaun Klemetsrud when you create the subdomain for 6sense Email Provider, you will see you can send the DNS records to your IT team or download them! https://support.6sense.com/docs/set-up-the-6sense-email-provider-for-ce-beta
