Doc ads on LinkedIn

Options

Hello,
I am using document ads on LinkedIn and have a relatively high number of engagements but no clicks to the landing page. Since it’s a document ad, the engagement likely comes from users clicking through the document on LinkedIn. On 6sense, I can’t see much engagement happening with this campaign. Does the engagement data only count clicks to the landing page and video views, or are other forms of engagement also counted by 6sense?

I am wondering if the same thing is happening with carousel ads—does clicking through the carousel also go unnoticed by 6sense?

Attached you can find the engagement data from LinkedIn.

@Chloe Howell Do you have some information about that? Thank you

According to an article 6sense posted last May, 'Single Image Ads' are the only LinkedIn ad format supported by 6sense.

Also note that you must leverage a 6sense segment in your LinkedIn Ads campaign to report on it in 6sense.

Finally, there is a reporting minimum that can come into play on low-volume campaigns. LinkedIn sets a minimum requirement of three actions to show a demographic statistic. In 6sense’s reporting view, this means that for any statistic to show for an individual account, there must be at least three actions attributed to that account.

    Hope that helps,

    Jim

  • Hi @Jim_Lionhurst,

Thank you for your response. We have also been running other ad types on LinkedIn with the 6sense segment and do see account reach and engagement on 6sense. However, this seems to only include clicks to the website and video views. As mentioned, other engagement data does not appear to be accounted for. I was hoping for confirmation on whether this other engagement data is excluded from 6sense reporting.

    Hi Veronika,

It is my assumption that interactions/engagements with LinkedIn Ads, beyond clicks to the website, are not accounted for by 6sense.

However, it would be best to get an answer from someone more technical at 6sense. Someone who has a betting understanding of the LinkedIn Ads integration and how they use the API to injest LinkedIn data.

  • @Jim_Lionhurst Thank you :).

@Chloe Howell can you connect me with someone who can confirm what Jim is saying? Thank you
