Metric Monday: Buying Experience Key Findings by Industry

Options

Hi all,

Over the past couple of Metric Mondays, we’ve been sharing key takeaways from our Buyer Experience Research, breaking down findings by factors like purchase cost and capability type (new business capabilities, renewals, etc.). Today, let's look at these findings by industry.

Here’s a quick snapshot: one industry stands out from the rest —Manufacturing—while buyers across other industries show more similarities than differences. There’s an interesting story behind why Manufacturing buyers differ so much, and we’ve got an article on that coming out this week 🤗!

For now, here’s a quick look: manufacturing buyers favor a streamlined buying journey, evaluating one fewer vendor on average. This keeps their buying teams smaller, interactions with vendors lower, and buying cycles shorter than their peers.

We get a lot of questions on this topic, and it gets really fascinating, particularly with respect to Manufacturing. Sara's done some really great work that I can't wait for everyone to see.
