Activity Timeline - Question

I have a question regarding how Meetings show up on the timeline.

Meetings show on the timeline at point of creation, per support, but that isn't always the truest data.

We use SFDC - sometimes our teams will set a meeting and the meeting won't get "completed" until another date.

Curious how other teams have addressed this or worked around it?
