🎥 6th Street Live - Keywords Recap [11/16/23]

What an awesome session, @Adam Kaiser. I wonder how many times we said the word "keywords"? 🧐
Thank you to everyone who joined and asked a question. If you have a follow up question, please comment below.
We're taking December off for the holidays, but we'll see you back on 6th Street in 2024!
Timestamp recap:
18:18- What suggestions do you have about keyword translations in priority markets?
20:54- Can you share more about how you “group” industry events and conferences? For example, would you recommend putting events into their own “event keyword group” or would you suggest putting event names into the keyword group that’s relevant to a specific product model?
21:58- What are some best practices for grouping keywords by topic?
23:34- Would you recommend removing keywords that do not show any values in "Research Accounts" Why is it not possible to delete keywords, only deactivate them?
24:21- Why is it only letting us see 7 day and 30 day history versus a longer period for example if we are auditing on a quarterly basis.
25:16- When leveraging branded keywords is there anything that separates those searches within your network vs the generic keywords? For example, the branded keyword Orange (the company) vs someone using orange as a description within a search.
27:09- Faye asks Are keywords case sensitive? I noticed all of Adam’s keywords had the word capitalized...
27:39- Steven asks Even if acronyms should be used sparingly, do they still add value if they are specific?
28:48- Is there a limit of Keywords we can add? is there is a recommened minimum number of keyword to have?
30:29- Is there a way to weigh keywords more granularly than just Branded and Generic?
30:48- How much do generic keywords contribute to increasing buying stage? Sometimes we want to use keywords to do research, but they aren’t necessarily indicative that the account is looking to buy.
31:44- How can you determine if a keyword is too broad/catching too MANY accounts? We have “loyalty” and “acquisition” for example, is there a guideline to understand what might be too broad?
33:31- If my competitor is using 6sense, is 6sense sharing intent data from our company using 6sense?
34:27- Is there a best practice for the minimum of accounts that we should be looking at to say we should recommend for deactivation?

@Adam Kaiser I have a question - do we need to add different keywords for UK spellings? personalization/personalisation, etc. Thanks!

@charlotte.spangler Definitely a good idea to do that to capture the variations.

@Adam Kaiser Hi Adam, just stumbled across this great video — thanks for making it and posting it here. I wanted to follow up to the question you were asked:
24:21- Why is it only letting us see 7 day and 30 day history versus a longer period for example if we are auditing on a quarterly basis.
I believe this question is stemming from the keyword data settings area in the platform, where you're only able to see research activities up to either 7 or 30 days.
Because of this limitation, how are you tracking keyword performance over time? For instance I have keyword "XYZ" and see that 500 accounts were using it in February, but then I see in March now 750 accounts are using it. And in April now 1000 are using it. This is a keyword I now want to add to marketing campaigns and email subject lines. What's the best way to identify and track those keyword increases (and decreases) within the platform?
Thank you!
