6sense's Ultimate In-Person Sales Kickoff Experience (UISKE)
Are you bringing 100s or 1000s of sellers together for an in-person Kickoff? Because do we have an experience for you!
We believe that 6sense will fundamentally transform the way your sellers work, but only if they understand what it does and why they should use it. And the more seasoned your sellers, the more skeptical they'll be of yet another tool promising to help them close deals. This experience has been carefully designed to fire up your sales team so they can't wait to get started.
What is the Ultimate In-Person Sales Kickoff Experience (UISKE)?
It is an educational, entertaining, and memorable training event and prospecting contest to ensure your sales team gets the most motivating introduction to 6sense possible. There's humor, there's props, videos, audience participation, custom swag, spiffs, and a bunch of surprises we'll fill you in on when it's time. It is designed for large groups meeting in-person only.
Who does UISKE?
The event is currently performed by me, Senior Principal Product Evangelist, Ami Arad. I am best known within the 6sense community for my interruptions of keynote speeches at Breakthrough, the award-winning 6sensory Supper executive dinner experience, and my homage to Glengarry Glen Ross at our launch event for Revenue AI for Sales. I have been a Club-qualifying sales engineer, an account executive, a sales enablement leader, and an Evangelist (twice!), although it's my 15 years in retail/hospitality that most inform the experiences like this.
When is this available?
The experience will be ready to travel June 1, 2023. Because UISKE is currently performed by just one person (see above), it is booked first-come, first-serve. Reach out to your CSM for availability.
What does 6sense need to execute a successful Ultimate In-Person Sales Kickoff Experience?
- You must own Predictive and Sales Intelligence. The Buying Stages model must be up-and-running, and if you use a Sales Engagement Platform, at least one cadence/sequence must be set up. A pilot having been run with a small team is preferred, but by no means, required.
- 2 hours in front of the entire sales team. This includes 1 hour of training, a 45 minute prospecting contest, and 15 minute wrap up/awards. The prospecting contest can be done after a break and away from the main stage so that sellers can use their laptops and phones. Additional time in a breakout to train frontline sales managers is also recommended, but can be done virtually if necessary.
- Dedicated budget for spiffs. $1,000 minimum to be awarded across 4 winners; no maximum. My POV on Sales spiffs is here.
- Details about the event: location and date of the event, number of sellers expected, contact information for the event production company, contact information for the most senior Sales leader that will be attending.

If you're still reading, you must be interested, so here are some Frequently Asked Questions.
Q. Is this for inside or outside sellers? And what about frontline sales managers?
A. Yes! It can be for inside or outside sellers or both, especially if they're usually working together to open opportunities. Anyone with a Sales Intelligence license should be trained properly. There is also a dedicated training for frontline managers that we highly recommend that can be done the same day, or at a later date, virtually.
Q. Do we have to do the prospecting contest?
A. Technically, no, but it is HIGHLY recommended. Given that most SKOs are multiple days, the last thing we want is to take everyone through the application, and then it's 1-3 days before they have a chance to get in it and apply what they've learned. The training is such that most sellers are trying to use 6sense before the training is even finished (which we also want to avoid!), so starting the prospecting contest right after the training is best. In addition, the introductory video will get sellers excited about how fast meetings can be booked, especially right after implementation, and we want to exploit that early momentum.
Q. Do we have to set aside two hours?
A. For UISKE, yes. We realize there's a lot of content to cover at Kickoffs. If you are rolling out 6sense to your salesforce for the first time, it's a big deal. A six-figure investment just in licenses, and a lot of time and effort from Marketing to set Sales up for success. Double- and triple-digit percentage improvements in opportunity volume, average deal size, and win rate, and a reduction in sales cycle time are all achievable if the sales team adopts it.
If you can't commit two hours, there are other resources to help you introduce 6sense to Sales, with more under development. But real results will take a couple hours upfront, and then regular reinforcement over time until the motions become second nature.
Q. Are any laws broken with this experience?
A. No. There is likely a clean up fee to be incurred, but that will vary from venue to venue. But everything is perfectly safe and legal.
