Wednesday Wisdom: Introducing the Statistically Speaking Video Series

Hey all,

I’m excited to share the first episode of a new video series from the 6sense Research team: Statistically Speaking, co-hosted by myself and our Head of Research, @Kerry.

Short, plain-English episodes about the benchmarks and headlines we all run into every day. We unpack common statistical misconceptions, look at how errors creep into our thinking, and share simple tools to build healthy skepticism—at work and in life.

We’ll use everyday examples and findings from our own primary research to illustrate the points. It’s stats by and for B2B marketers. We won’t do the math (or ask you to), but we will talk about what the math does—and where you should require more math before you believe what you’re reading or hearing.

No formulas. Just practical questions and examples.

More to come soon—we’ll be tackling topics like descriptive vs. inferential statistics, qualitative vs. quantitative data, what statistically significance really means, and more.

I love this, too. Sara and I geek out on the stats, but that wasn't always the case for either of us. I think we'd both say that having some stats skills feels like having keys to the kingdom of knowledge, but, again, it wasn't really natural for either of us. So, I know there are a lot of you out there who would like to have a better ability to figure things out in data but are intimidated. We're hoping this series helps!
