Best Practice: When Does My 6sense Model Need to Be Refreshed?

6sense recommends a model refresh when there are major changes in your data such as​: 

  • CRM system migration from one instance to another​ 
  • MAP system migration from one instance to another if there is historical data from the new system going back at least 6 months; otherwise, we will monitor and refresh after you have at least 6 months of data​ 
  • A large change that impacts 6sense account matching (large scale changes on country field, website domain and email domain)​ 
  • A large change in the relevant opportunity definitions that will change more than 10% of the opportunities that are currently influencing the models​. Examples: ​ 
  • Changes in new logo opportunities definitions​ 
  • Changes in opportunity stage definitions ​ 
  • Changes in the model to opportunity relationship ​ 
  • Changes in the definition of opening/winning opportunities​ 

You do NOT need to refresh your model in these instances: 

  • Any minor taxonomy changes 
  • Third party intent signal changes such as keywords 
  • Relevant opportunity volume changes that are less than 10% overall
