Today is what we’re calling “Metric Monday” — the day of the week where we’ll be sharing stats from our primary research and occasionally the research of our industry peers.

Today, let's talk about auto-fill. 

We did some research on what people are saying about how auto-fill is working for them. While there are differences in the way it functions for some, it's clear that across all existing research, auto-fill is a game-changer.

What are the benefits of auto-fill? Overall, people are experiencing:

Higher conversion rates

  • A study by Formstack found that conversion rates increased by as much as 189% when autofill features were used.
  • Zuko Analytics, on their end, found that for those who use auto-fill, the overall completion rate was 71% while for non-users it was 59%.
  • Chrome suggests a 25% increase in form-completion when autofill is utilized.

Less effort:

  • Users who have auto-fill enabled complete forms up to 12% faster than those who don’t use the feature.
  • Google found that users completed forms 30% faster with automated form-filling activated.

Improved accuracy 

Auto-fill may reduce errors in form filling by up to 80%
