Sunday is International Audit Your Intent Keywords Day!

Options

Ok, not really, but I want to will it into existence. Here's the simple premise:

Companies, including 6sense, create keywords, add keywords, and group keywords, but rarely purge keywords. And we all should. Or we should at least take a hard look at them and ask, "Does this one spark joy?"

Why Sunday? Sunday is August, 6th. 8/6. 86. As in 86 those outdated keywords! (I'll see myself out...)

  • This comparison sparks joy!

  • Great reminder @Ami Arad. It may not be International Audit Your Intent Keywords Day but 8/6 can certainly be 6sense Audit Your Intent Keywords Day. May it officially be declared!

  • @Ami Arad Bringing joy and relatability to marketing and sales teams every day 🤠

  • @Ami Arad the purge is SO IMPORTANT!

    100% relevant and 100% agree.

"Your home is living space not storage space" is also on my mind. Gotta keep the keywords relevant to the focus and not where we store things that are not helping us.

Am I setting up a recurring event on 8/6 now? Yep yep yep. 🤠

I've got so many junk keywords and a lot of starts with "I wonder if anyone is researching THIS". Turns out, the answer is often "No". What's hit me the hardest is keywords for some particularly technical use cases. I just can't seem to find the right ones.

  • @Brandon McBride What are some examples of your technical use cases?

    Real-time data use for:

    -Clinical trials

    -Airline operations

    -Targeted decommissioning within Telco

I get very little for these. I'm not familiar with the industry so I don't think I'm finding the right words.

@Brandon McBride I've worked in a similar data solutions industry, and something I've tried that has worked is looking at what's trending when I search certain terms together, like data management for airlines, and then I take common themes from top content and add them to my keywords, for your airline operations example:

    • Aviation digital infrastructure, airline operational efficiency, airline predictive analytics, aviation data optimization, nextgen air transportation, ground-based automation system, flight deck computing, trajectory-based operations, etc
    • Getting creative with branded keywords is also important, you may want to include things like: GE Aviation Systems, Federal Aviation Association, SmartSky Networks, Mosaic ATM, along with competitors
    • Here's the article I grabbed stuff from: https://www.nutanix.com/theforecastbynutanix/industry/cloud-computing-in-the-airline-industry

Not sure if this helps, but hopefully there's a nugget that's useful 🤞
