Happy Metric Monday!

Who has had the chance to dive into our latest report from our Buyer Experience Research, "Why Some Buying Journeys Are Longer Than Others"? It's filled with data on how B2B buying cycle lengths vary based on factors such as the type of solution being purchased, the cost of the purchase, the number of vendors a buyer organization evaluates, and much more.

On this Metric Monday, let's focus on one particular stat from the report - how a buyer's industry influences the time they spend in the buyer's journey. In the chart below, you'll observe that buyers in the Manufacturing industry reported shorter buying cycles (9.2 months) compared to Tech & Software (11.6 months) and Financial Services buyers (11.9 months).

There could be various reasons for the shorter duration in manufacturing purchases, but we've noticed that buying group sizes, another factor influencing the length of a buying cycle, were smaller (7.4 members) for purchases made from buyers in Manufacturing than those in Tech and Software (10.0 members) and Financial Services (10.5 members).

Check out the report for more intel like this!

It’s a really strong relationship. More vendors evaluated… bigger buying groups…longer cycles.
