Conversational email - domain considerations

Howdy Rev Heads,
Curious if anyone has conversational email running and can weigh in on how you set up your domain structure?
Is it all flowing from your main domain, or have you broken it out into a sub-domain/separate domain?
Would love to hear your thoughts on deliverability and how it's going so far!

We run everything under the same domain - this has actually helped with our deliverability as linking back to sub-domains in Marketing emails doesn't actually help protect your main domain if either of them get reported for spam, so we focus on ensuring that we are communicating with people who want to be communicated with. Moreover, before we send anything at all, we validate all of our incoming email addresses using an email validation tool, and we ensure all of our data is opt'd in as well.
