Keyword group overhaul

Hi all,
Our marketing team recently embarked on a massive keyword update in our instance of 6sense, and the next step is to now overhaul/re-organize our keyword groups. We are a B2B SaaS organization in the HR tech space, and I'm thinking of using product lines, competitors, key campaign themes, and key HR-related themes as places to start for categorizing both our branded and generic keywords. Have other organizations done a similar overhaul, and does anyone here have examples of keyword groups that drive efficiency and work well for their segments?

Your ideas for keyword sources are good. My recommendation is to keep them specific and not go overly general.
Consider leveraging Google Ads and Google Search Console for keyword ideas. You can see which searches are most searched by your ICP, so ensure that you add those as well as your top value driving terms.
