Graphic Swap

Hi everyone!

I was hoping to get some insights on what everyone does with swapping out their graphics in a campaign. Do you keep the same graphics for a full quarter? Do you swap them out every few weeks? Do you hit a specific metric before swapping?

Would love to get some other options to see how my team can spruce things up in 2025!

Thanks in advance :)

    Hi Stephanie,

It depends on where you are looking to post ads.

On LinkedIn, especially if you're promoting to a target account list, I would say 3-4 weeks is the limit, and then your audience gets saturated. The metric to track is the number of impressions…you get to 6+ and they've tuned out.

For display, I would usually do an A/B test of my ad creative for 2-3 weeks, pick the winner, and run with that for another 6 weeks. Longer than that and the ad creative starts to lose its efficacy. Click rates are tough as very few people click on ads, but that doesn't mean their efficacy isn't there. So I would track traffic to your landing page to see if that dips, then its time to swap it out.

The trick here is that your ads could have the same CTA, but different creative and copy make it fresh and those that may have tuned out can get re-engaged.

    Hope that helps!

For the most part I swap out quarterly. Would love to get on the "5 weeks or 50,000 impression" state of doing campaign updates, but do not think my creative team would be too happy with me.

Running around 30 campaigns a quarter doesn't help with creative turnaround though. I too would love to keep up with this and see how anyone has tackled this.

We do A/B testing for each campaign and then swap out quarterly. I'd like to do more, but we just don't have the manpower with the number of campaigns we have running. Interested to see what others do!
