Looking to identify a website visitor

We recently had a visitor come to our website and fill out a form and download an ebook. The email he provided was a yahoo.com address and the company name he provided is not found in ZoomInfo. I thought I could use 6Sense to help identify the company or location of this visitor by creating a segment that looked at website visitors to the specific URL where he filled out the form and added in a filter for those that completed a form in the last 7 days. The results of my 6Sense segment was zero companies. Am I missing something? Shouldn't 6Sense show this visitor?

It could be that this user was not identifiable by 6sense. The 6sense company details API is able to identify 50 - 60% of web traffic on average.

Have you integrated Google Analytics with 6sense? If you have, this would be another place to check and see if 6sense was able to identify the user that completed the ebook form.

  • Hi Deb!

6sense should be able to show you the accounts that have been on a specific URL string and filled out forms within a certain period of time. Sometimes we see the JS tag thats been placed on your website does not capture all form fills with the out of the box configuration. If you reach out to the CSM and Support team they can check your configuration to make sure all form fills are being captured.

To Jims point, we capture majority of the website traffic and are able to deanonymize back to an account. Its not going to be able to capture 100% of traffic.

You could also try looking up the account in 6sense that was provided with the yahoo address!

    Hopefully this helps!
