Is there a limit to the number of segments we can download/export to an excel file?

on the segment page, there is one button Download, it has 2 options, CRM Accounts, 6s Accounts, if we download them, does it count to any of our Subscription limit? as I saw acquire new account under Orchestration , what is the different between that and this download feature?

    Thanks for reaching out !

    To answer your query, I would like to share some information on how Segments work in 6sense. Segments are nothing but a collection of 'Mastered/Matched' Accounts. Meaning, all the accounts which are visible in the Segment will/may have one-to-many relationship with your CRM accounts. This could be confusing at first but let's try to understand this with an example:

    • Suppose there are 3 account records for BurgerKing (say BK) in your CRM but when your CRM's data is synced over to 6sense, our system will try to match these CRM accounts with 6sense accounts, based on few firmographic data points like Country, Domain and Account Name etc.
    • If the match is successful, our system will link these accounts to a 6sense account which possess similar firmographic information. (Please note, all this Matching process is done during the Nightly Pipeline Cycle and does not require any human interventions)
    • Once the matching is complete, if we create a Segment to include BK account then the account which will be shown in the segment will be 6sense BK account which is linked to your 3 CRM accounts internally.

    Now,

    • When you try to use the download functionality inside this Segment, CRM Accounts option will give you the list of accounts which exist in your CRM + are linked to 6sense account showing up in the Segment. Based on above example, you would get 3 CRM accounts in a CSV file.
    • But if you go for 6sense Accounts, system will extract all the 6sense accounts which are visible on the segment UI. In the current example, you would get 1 6sense BK account.

    Coming back to your questions:

    Q1: If we download them, does it count to any of our Subscription limit ?

    Ans: No. You will not be charged for using these download functionalities.

    Q2: As I saw acquire new account under Orchestration , what is the different between that and Segment download feature?

    Ans: Basically, the Orchestration module is used to push data from 6sense side to your SFDC or MAP instances. And the accounts on which orchestration works is fueled by the Segments. So the download functionality which you see in the Orchestration run history will give you the list of account records which were processed by the Orchestration.
