Hi RevCity members,

We are currently working on how to report to our management on our Demand Gen Strategy. Which KPIs would you highlight (marketing impact on pipeline, accounts reached, accounts engagement and accounts moving down the funnel?) and how you would present the slides ?

If some of you have any template or examples, don't hesitate !

Thanks,

Marine

I don't have any templates on this, but I would say the more you can tie to revenue the better.

We are currently measuring 6sense's overall effectiveness with an orchestration for 6QAs into a campaign. (actually presenting at Breakthrough on this :)). That helps identify the impact/influence we're having by using the tool.

When we're reporting on advertising in general, we typically stick to what we can solidly verify - impressions and clicks. Using 6sense I also provide form fills and view throughs. Because we offer so many products/services I don't show the account level influenced revenue but I do use the movement reports (moving stages) to show how advertising/marketing had an influence on moving an account through the funnel.

    Hope that helps.

I'm really looking forward to that session, Jana.

  • Great question! Some recommendations:

    1. Demonstrate your Reach and Engagement numbers, and what the ratio looks like
    2. Tie that back to Pipeline Influenced and Won (you need CRM connected to do this)
    3. Report on the Types of Engagement Activities, and where possible relate it to costs and opportunities created (some activities cost more, but also more profitable to do)
    4. Summarize what works, what can be optimized and use that inform future/upcoming plans

Tip: The Performance Trend Report is a great way to understand how your advertising is working for you.
