Custom Tie Breaker Rules | Contacts

Hi RevCity fam —
My team is looking to build out Custom Tie Breaker Rules for Contact Acquisition plays we want to run to support sales via Data Workflows. I've looked at the Knowledge Base articles but they are very high level and we all know how complex (and messy) our CRMs can be, especially when we take into account how 6sense masters its data versus how our SFDC instance is configured.
I'd love anyone's insight into how other folks are building out more complex/nuanced Custom Tie Breaker Rules when it comes to…
Understanding what sort of considerations we need to be aware of when we build ours. For example:
- Best uses cases for when to use Field Value Match vs Field to Field Match
- Logic you're using when using the Filed Value Match option
- Best practices for which Match Types to use
- Etc.
I 'd also love to learn how others are building these out to understand the art of the possible, and to specifically:
- Avoid creating duplicate contacts if the account match is incorrect based on the way 6sense masters it data vs how our SFDC instance is built.
- How to ensure we aren't creating orphaned contacts
- Ensure we add contact to the correct accounts (if there are multiple) based on geo locations, etc.
Any and all advice would be helpful. Happy to hop on a call with anyone who would be open to sharing how they've built these.
Thanks in advance!
