6sense and Opportunity creation in Dynamics 365

Hi all, looking to connect with fellow 6sense users and learn/share processes on how opportunities are created with Microsoft Dynamics D365. Would love to discuss whether your process is manual, semi automated or fully automated.

What steps you took along the journey to get to fully automated and what challenges you faced along the way.

Challenges we have experienced so far include.

- Duplicates
- opportunity creation
- Account creation
- Integration with our D365 instance

    Hi @Unit4Mp,

    Dynamics shop here. Are you looking for 6sense orchestration to create opp records in Dynamics for you? Or are your users creating opps in Dynamics?

    @Jarrod Cohen we are doing the latter, but wish to orchestrate the creation of opps for existing accounts in D365 who 6QA'd and then use orchestration to build the account out post Opp creation with 3 contacts (if needed).

    Yep, that's relatively easy to do. How bad is your existing account data in Dynamics? Are focusing on one sales location per company per country in Dynamics?

    @Jarrod Cohen - matched 72% accounts against 6sense with 6sense ID - 27% highlighted as Duplicate e.g. location country doesn't allow for large entities to be matched with multiple locations or plain old duplicates.

    Ok doesn't look like orchestration allows for the creation of Dynamics opportunities. What we do is the following:

    1. Orchestrate creation of sales location if one does not exist upon 6QA score
    2. Enrich existing sales location with score exports if sales location does exist
    3. Orchestrate buyer team of contact records at 6QA sales location, whether existing or newly created via orchestration at the sales location with the greatest number of existing contacts (as a tie breaker if duplicate sales locations exist within country)
    4. Our CRM admin then assigns sales rep owner of sales location in CRM which then after nightly pipeline run will show on the rep's 6sense Sales Intelligence dashboard with fresh contacts to prospect. This can take 2-3 days depending on when the contacts and sales locations were created and when the pipeline runs

    You'd need to create a Dynamics view to look for newly 6QA accounts to then assign. Unfortunately it doesn't look like an opp can be automatically created via the 6sense orchestration, but I suppose your CRM admin could create a flow on the Dynamics side to create an opp record against the sales location when it scores 6QA.
