8 Tips for Attending Breakthrough from a Frequent Flyer

Hey everyone! Breakthrough 2024 is coming fast. Two weeks from yesterday, you’ll be on a plane (most likely) to Las Vegas. I don’t know about you, but I’m pumped!

This will be my third Breakthrough, so I wanted to share a few tips to make the most of your time at the conference.

  1. If you have multiple people from your company attending, check out my Breakthrough Session Multiple Attendee Planner. It’s a nifty little Google Sheet to keep track of who is attending what to make sure you get the most out of the sessions.
  2. If you’re new to 6sense, there’s a special New Customer Welcome Session on Monday from 3:00pm-4:30pm. I’ve seen the agenda for this and you’re going to hear from some pretty great people. And you’ll hear a bit from me, too.
  3. After that, catch the 6th Street Live session on Monday from 5:00pm-6:30pm. This is the session where 6sense discusses how they use 6sense and it’s been the highest-rated session for the last two years. It's also the session where I take the most pictures in hopes of reverse-engineering Saima’s SFDC dashboard.
  4. If you’re a big note-taker like I am, bring a laptop charger - just in case. I keep this power bank on me to top off throughout the day.
  5. Check out all of the sponsor booths and the RevCity booth in front of the main stage. Last year, I picked up a wallet, a water bottle, a few t-shirts, several golf balls, and other great stuff. More importantly, I also made some good connections with the folks at 2X, ROI DNA, and Mutiny.
  6. The sessions are great, but Breakthrough is also a great place to network with your peers or, even better, people who aren’t your peers. Last year at The Party I ended up chatting with Kris Rudeegraap, CEO of Sendoso, without even realizing it. It was pretty cool.
  7. Book a meeting with some of the 6sense experts. Chatting with folks like Kerry Cunningham or Mac Conn is an opportunity I wouldn’t pass up.
  8. If you can, attend The Party - even if it’s just for a little bit to get some food. I'm an introvert, so I don't usually make it through the whole night. But my CSM and I were just chatting earlier today about how sad we were that we missed out on seeing Travis Barker perform two years ago.

I’m looking forward to meeting you all at Monday's Welcome Reception at Fontainebleau and Wednesday's 'The Party' at KAOS nightclub at the Palms.

Agree with everything Brandon said. I'm a non-tech note taker so I make sure I have at least an entire notebook and several pens (or see if the vendor booths have pens).

I would also add - in the sessions, ask questions. If you can't get your question asked in the time allotted, follow up either by pinging people on RevCity or asking to see if you can email them after.

@Brandon McBride this is amazing - just made a copy and shared it with my team. Side note: It's also a good idea to click through on the sessions and mark interested as they will show up in your Bizzabo app on your phone. That kept me on track last year in attending all the sessions I wanted to be at!

Thanks @Brandon McBride - look forward to meeting you there!

  • Wow all of these are spot on! I'll add one more tip- make sure you take advantage of booking a meeting with a 6sense expert in our Connect lounge. This is a great opportunity to get with a 6senser for a discussion on specific use cases or explore new tech like Conversational Email. Reach out to your CSM to help book a meeting!
