Turn Your Recurring Revenue Marketing Reports into an Automated AI Task

How the 6sense MCP server works with any MCP tool, with setup for Claude Cowork & Claude Code

If you log into 6sense every week to run the same reports, you can hand that off to your AI tool. The 6sense Model Context Protocol (MCP) server lets any MCP-compatible AI (ChatGPT, Copilot Studio, Agentforce, Claude, Gemini Enterprise, etc.) query your Revenue Marketing data.

This guide focuses on Claude Cowork and Claude Code, which can run these queries on an automated schedule and drop the results into Slack, Docs, or GitHub.

What This Does

๐ŸŒ GENERAL

The 6sense MCP server lets an AI assistant answer natural-language questions using your Revenue Marketing data via RevvyAI subagents (account insights, 6QA trends, keyword intent, ad campaigns, web traffic, etc.). It is read-only and it cannot alter data within 6sense on your behalf.

๐Ÿ’ผ CLAUDE COWORK & CODE

Both tools support remote MCP connectors and scheduled/triggered tasks, letting you turn manual reporting into automatic updates pushed where your team works.

(Note: All names and figures below are placeholders, be sure to replace with your own data.)

What You'll Need

๐ŸŒ GENERAL

  • MCP turned ON by your admin: Must be enabled under 6sense AI Settings (otherwise you will only reach product support subagents).
  • Individual seat license: Anyone configuring recurring queries must authenticate via MCP directly.
  • Check official 6sense MCP docs for IT permissions or requirements.

๐Ÿ’ผ CLAUDE ONLY

  • A connector-supported plan: Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise.

Connect to 6sense

Option A: Claude Cowork (claude.ai)

๐Ÿ’ผ CLAUDE COWORK

  1. Go to Customize > Connectors (or Organization settings > Connectors for admins).
  2. Click Browse connectors, search for 6sense, and click Connect.
  3. Test it: Ask "Using 6sense, what's the top performing display campaign this month?" Claude should return your specific workspace data.

Option B: Claude Code CLI

๐Ÿ’ป CLAUDE CODE

Add the server endpoint directly:

Bash

claude mcp add --transport http 6sense https://api.6sense.com/mcp

Open a session, authenticate, and verify:

Bash

/mcp
claude mcp list

Tip: Add --scope project to save the registration in .mcp.json so teammates can share the config via Git (each person still runs /mcp to authenticate).

Reports Worth Automating

1. Weekly 6QA Follow-Up Digest

๐Ÿ’ผ CLAUDE COWORK | Runs: Mon 8:00 AM | Lands: Claude Doc or Slack

Every Monday at 8am, use 6sense to find accounts that became 6QA in the last 7 days that don't appear to have a logged follow-up yet. Group them by industry and current buying stage, and flag any with a website visit in the last 3 days as high priority. Write the result as a short markdown report titled 'Weekly 6QA Digest, [date]' and post it to #revops-reports.

2. Monthly Ad Campaign Recap

๐Ÿ’ผ CLAUDE COWORK | Runs: 1st business day, 9:00 AM | Lands: Shared drive

On the first business day of each month, use 6sense to pull ad campaign performance for the last 30 days, broken out by predictive buying stage. Call out which campaigns are performing well against Decision-stage accounts versus Awareness-stage accounts, and flag any campaign with a declining engagement trend over the last two reporting periods. Summarize in plain language, no more than one page, and save it as 'Campaign Recap, [month].'

3. Daily Hot-Account Brief

๐Ÿ’ผ CLAUDE COWORK | Runs: Weekday mornings, 7:30 AM | Lands: Slack DM

Every weekday morning, use 6sense to identify accounts in the Decision or Consideration stage with a meaningful increase in intent activity in the last 7 days. For each one, note the top 2-3 intent keywords and any recent website activity. Keep it to five accounts max, ranked by how actionable they are today. Post it to me directly on Slack.

4. Weekly Website Visit Spikes

๐Ÿ’ผ CLAUDE COWORK | Runs: Fri 4:00 PM | Lands: #marketing-ops

Every Friday afternoon, use 6sense to find accounts with a significant increase in website visits or page depth this week compared to their prior 4-week average. Group them by current buying stage, and note which pages they spent the most time on. Flag any that aren't already 6QA, since that's often an early signal. Write the result as a short markdown report titled 'Weekly Website Visit Spikes, [date]' and post it to #marketing-ops.

5. Weekly Keyword Intent Trend Report

๐Ÿ’ป CLAUDE CODE | Runs: Weekly Routine (cron) | Lands: Git branch / PR
Run /schedule in your repo, attach 6sense, and use:

Use 6sense to pull keyword-level intent trends for the last 30 days and compare against the prior 30-day period. Identify keywords with the largest week-over-week increases in intent and flag any that suggest an emerging use case or competitor comparison. Write the findings to reports/keyword-intent/YYYY-MM-DD.md and open a PR.

Quick Tips

๐ŸŒ GENERAL

  • Test manually before scheduling: Run your prompt once or twice as an ad-hoc question first. It's much easier to refine the instructions and dial in the output before locking it into a weekly schedule.
  • Name the destination: Explicitly include "Post to #x-slack-channel" or "Save to X Drive folder."
  • Keep tasks focused: One job per prompt produces far more reliable output than bundling multiple complex queries.
  • Be descriptive about formatting: Specify headings and structure in the prompt to prevent wording drift across recurring runs.
  • Tied to user login: Recurring tasks run on the credentials of whoever set them up. .
