Track Signals and Trigger Workflows: Closed Beta, Phase 1

Know the moment. Act on it.

Today, most go-to-market teams have more data and more signals than ever, but still struggle to know when to act on any of it. Firmographic and technographic data tell you who an account is. Buyer intent tells you what an account is researching. But buying signals tied to a time-sensitive moment (a funding round closing, a new executive joining, a shift in headcount) haven't had a way to be tracked and acted on automatically. Teams have had to notice the moment, then manually route and react, and by the time that happens, the window has often closed. That changes now. Track signals and trigger workflows to act on important, time-sensitive buying moments, automatically and at scale.

How it works

  • Track signals. Configure the buying signals you want 6sense to track and listen for. Apply filters to keep them relevant, for example track Senior Leadership Hire for C-level roles only.
  • 6sense continuously listens. The moment a signal you've tracked fires, 6sense catches it. No report to pull, no manual monitoring.
  • Trigger an action. Set up a trigger-based workflow to fire an action immediately. For example, add a new leadership hire to a Salesloft campaign congratulating them on the role.
  • In practice: A Senior Leadership Hire lands at one of your target accounts. 6sense catches it and, through Intelligent Workflows, adds the new exec to a Salesloft campaign congratulating them on the new role. No one had to notice the change or build the list. The moment triggered the play.

Signals you can track during phase 1 of the beta

  1. New Funding Round: an account raises a round, IPOs, or announces material funding.
  2. Senior Leadership Hire: a new C-level or senior executive joins the account.
  3. Hiring Growth: headcount climbs 10%+ versus baseline, pointing to a growth phase.
  4. New Technology: new tooling appears in, or churns out of, an account's stack.

What you can do during phase 1 of the beta

Track signals
Configure the signal types your organization wants to listen for from a centralized administration experience.

We're particularly interested in understanding how intuitive the setup process feels and whether teams can successfully track signals with minimal guidance.

Create segments
Use tracked signals alongside existing firmographic, technographic, and intent criteria to build more precise audience segments.

Example use cases include:

  1. Newly funded accounts in your ICP
  2. Companies experiencing hiring growth
  3. Accounts adopting competitor technologies
  4. Organizations with a newly hired marketing or sales executive

These segments can then be activated through your existing downstream channels, including advertising and email programs.

Trigger workflows.
Tracked signals can also be used as event triggers within Intelligent Workflows, firing the moment the signal has fired.

For example:

  1. A new funding round triggers enrollment into a campaign
  2. A senior leadership hire initiates a sales engagement cadence
  3. A new technology signal updates your CRM

As part of the beta, you'll have the ability to preview expected outcomes before publishing workflows, helping validate whether trigger behavior matches your expectations.

What We Want to Learn

This beta is about more than validating the technology. We want to understand how signals fit into real-world go-to-market motions across Marketing, Operations, and Sales teams.

Specifically, we're looking for feedback on:

  1. How easy signals are to track and operationalize
  2. Whether the available signal types support meaningful business use cases
  3. How teams trigger activation from tracked signals across campaigns, segmentation, and workflows
  4. Signal quality and relevance
  5. Whether tracked signals create meaningful action or simply generate awareness
  6. Expectations around packaging, pricing, and long-term value

We'll also be gathering customer stories and feedback to help refine our messaging and positioning ahead of broader availability.

Areas we're paying close attention to

As with any early access release, there are several areas we're actively monitoring:

  1. Workflow activation latency and downstream execution speed
  2. Signal relevance and potential noise
  3. Configuration complexity for global organizations
  4. Cross-functional adoption across Marketing, Sales, and Operations
  5. Mastering and CRM enrichment behavior
  6. Understanding of HQ versus global account behaviors
  7. Enterprise configurability requirements

Your feedback on these topics will directly influence how tracked signals and trigger-based workflows evolve before general availability.

What we ask from beta participants

To help us learn as much as possible, we're asking participants to:

  1. Track signals without guided assistance initially so we can evaluate usability
  2. Build at least one segment using a tracked signal
  3. Activate a signal-driven audience in a downstream channel
  4. Create and publish at least one trigger-based workflow from a tracked signal
  5. Participate in surveys and feedback sessions
  6. Share examples of successful use cases, challenges, and opportunities

We'll support participants through:

  1. A kickoff session
  2. A signals one-pager
  3. Feature walkthrough videos
  4. Office hours and customer feedback sessions as needed

Know the moment. Act on it.

We're excited to partner with you as we build the next generation of workflow-driven buying intelligence. Tracked signals and trigger-based workflows represent an important evolution of how 6sense helps customers identify and act on buying moments.
